About us…

We live in Edinburgh and have sensible, grown-up jobs. We love the city, we wear suits and check blackberries. But, at the weekends, our inner hippy surfaces and we love to (slowly) head out of town in search of some blue sky and green hills. In Doris. This site documents our adventures in our little green campervan and we blog because like the idea of documenting our lives, of collating all our memories in the one place to look back on in the years to come. Hopefully over a nice bottle of red. In Doris. When we’re 85.

We like road trips, picnics, taking photos, scones, the sea, antique shops, taking photos, wine, wandering around, eating out, homeware shops, prawns, taking photos, cosy pubs, shabby chic, summer evenings, laughing, taking photos, sewing, sunglasses, New York and monkeys. Oh yeah, and taking photos.

What you’ll find on this site
  • Tales of adventure in our 30 year old campervan.
  • Overuse of the word ‘vintage’.
  • Lots of food. Our days out revolve around where we can go for lunch.
  • The extremely long (and extremely dull to anyone but us) story of our wedding.
  • A hint of self-deprecation. We’re Scottish after all.
  • A lot of photos. It’s what we do.
  • A generally positive spin. We have no interest in remembering the bad times, so we don’t tend to write about them.
